Extraordinary Ministry Training is required for all those who are beginning as Ministers. Session A is required of all Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion. Those who minister in hospitals, nursing homes and to homebound persons are also required to attend Session B. To Register for Extraordinary Minister Training, the pastor of the parish must send a letter to Bishop Barres at least 10 days in advance requesting the training for each person attending. This letter must mention the date and place of the training the person will attend.
