Overview

Music helps us express what words alone cannot.  When we are at Sunday Liturgy and all are lifting their voices in song, the sound of the assembly, celebrant, choir, cantor and organ creates a wonderful expression of faith. Each member of the Diocesan Boys Choir has the opportunity to explore their faith through the music they sing.  Equally important, they strengthen the faith of those around them with the beautiful melodies and texts which they present.  By sharing the gifts God has given them, our Choir enriches the lives of many.

Rehearsal and Liturgy/Performance Schedule

The Diocesan Boys Choir usually rehearses about every First Wednesday at 7:30 PM at the Mid-Island Location (St. Rose of Lima Church, 2 Bayview Ave., Massapequa,  NY 11758). And we will also rehearse about every Third Thursday at 5:30* or 7:00* PM (*This depends on the Voice Part between unchanged voices sopranos and altos, or changes voices tenors and basses).  There are several special events the Choir will participate in during the year and they are highlighted on the accompanying Calendar of Events.  Please take the choir calendar into consideration when planning family vacations, especially around the November 18 Performance, the Chrism Mass of Holy Week. PLEASE NOTE CAREFULLY THE SCHEDULE AND MARK ON YOUR HOME CALENDAR. Download Handbook: 2018 *Schedule of Regular Rehearsals
