Under the pastoral leadership of the Bishop John O. Barres (biography), the Office of Worship serves as a resource for the celebration of the Sacred Liturgy throughout the Diocese of Rockville Centre. The Office of Worship assists and advises the Bishop in his role as chief liturgist in deepening and strengthening the liturgical life within diocesan and parish communities. The Office of Worship promotes, fosters and supports prayerful worship within the Diocese of Rockville Centre by facilitating vibrant liturgical celebrations, supporting clergy in fulfilling their liturgical role, forming lay liturgical leadership and promoting liturgical knowledge of the relevant documents and traditions of the Church among all Catholics.
